Maiden Rock House, a structure of stone, metal and wood complements the surrounding prairie and bluff landscape. Below its perch surrounded by prairie and woods, are Lake Pepin and the Mississippi River. The house comes into view along a curved driveway. A detached garage and wood burning sauna are separate buildings attached by a breezeway forming a windbreak for the house. The plan is a long string of rooms, all oriented to the river. Master and guest bedrooms, on either end have windows on three sides and open onto the living spaces.
